“A perfect France experience”

The photos give you a idea but the reality is even better . This house is amazing and couldn’t be any more picture postcard perfect . Everything about this house is French rustic charm with its original shutters , thick stone walls , creaks in the floorboard but yet it still manages to have a high standard finish with crisp white bedding , soft fluffy towels and a kitchen so well equipped a chef would be happy .The gardens and pool are also what makes this house even more perfect. We spent hours in the gardens playing hide and seek and chatting in the hammock .The pool was so warm and had lighting which means if the weather is good you can still dip at 10pm at night under the stars (which we did ) The location is great as a short drive and you are in codes a beautiful little town with the most amazing buildings . We will definitely return as I don’t believe we will find anything that compares to la bastoulie!

“Beautiful French home with a fantastic pool”

I was lucky enough to spend a week at La Bastoulie with my family and other relatives. If we could have stayed there forever we would have. The house was lovely and clean when we arrived and a folder had been left giving us all the information we needed to stay at the house, along with lots of information on things to do locally. La Bastoulie is well kept and beautifully decorated. The huge garden has sunshine all day for those of us who love the sun, as well as always having a shady spot for those who don’t. A couple of hours spent relaxing in the hammock beneath the trees with a book is time well spent. The pool kept the children occupied for hours as well as providing welcome relief from the 30°c+ sunshine we enjoyed most days. A 10 minute drive will get you to either of the local villages. These are both pretty little places with a bar/cafe, small supermarket, butchers and, of course, a patisserie. Laguepie has a river running through the middle that was set up with an inflatable pontoon during our visit. This is a lovely place to relax by the river or enjoy a swim in the beautifully clean water. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend anybody who wants a relaxing break to visit La Bastoulie and hope to return in the near future.

“Perfect place for a relaxing holiday”

This house is really special, you can tell it’s the owners’ home from home. We stayed with our three daughters aged 11, 12 and 14 years and had a relaxed, fun holiday. The house was really lovely although we spent most of our time out in the fabulous garden. The pool was perfect and very warm and there were so many different spots to sit and enjoy the countryside. The hammock was a favorite where my eldest daughter spent many hours reading. We enjoyed visiting Cordes, Albi and Najac but didn’t do as much as we’d planned as it was hard to tear ourselves away from La Bastoulie. We just wish we’d had two weeks here, the holiday was over far too quickly.

“When can we return?”

What a week. Next time (and there will be a next time) we will stay for longer. This beautiful house is a home from home (only cleaner, better equipped and in a far more desirable location). The surrounding countryside is gorgeous – especially when viewed from the poolside – and the nearby towns for window shopping, lunch and general exploration are plentiful.
